About AI Smart Heroes

AI Smart Heroes is an independent AI learning platform built for children aged around 6 to 12, and for the parents, carers and teachers who support them. It brings together AI games, child-friendly AI news, learning activities, wellbeing guidance and grown-up resources in one friendly place.

AI Smart Heroes is our first game. More adventures, classroom activities and resources are being built and will appear as they are ready.

How we write for children

We use calm, simple language. We never tell children that AI always lies — instead we explain that AI can make mistakes, make things up, and sound sure even when it is wrong. We reward checking, thinking, kindness, privacy and asking for help, and we always point children toward trusted real people for anything important.

Independent project

AI Smart Heroes is an independent educational project. It is not affiliated with any government agency or regulator, and school activities are described as designed with future Australian Curriculum learning pathways in mind until formal curriculum mapping is complete.

Behind the project

An open door, not a lesson

AI Smart Heroes is not here to replace expert care or classroom teaching. It is a warm, stigma-reducing first step: a way to help children, families and schools feel more comfortable exploring AI, so they can ask questions, build skills and reach out to trusted people when they are ready.

Research team

Our multidisciplinary team brings together researchers with deep experience across AI in education, gamified learning and game development, digital literacy for children, and community-engaged research with children, families and schools.
